The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness and funds about the PADDLE Program. PADDLE (Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences) is a grassroots, charitable, community initiative offering meaningful activities to people with intellectual and physical disabilities. PADDLE offers programming 5 days a week centered in life skills, academic maintenance, community involvement/volunteering and healthy living. We rely on our generous community and small fees from our participants to keep the doors open to our participants and their families. We have no sponsored core funding.
We hope this campaign will help raise awareness of our program and the plight of people with disabilities. We hope to inspire other communities to take action for those in their community who need it most. Most of all we want to make sure our fees remain attainable to our participants - that no one is excluded from programming due to their finances. For these we need to raise core funds for our program expenses.
PADDLE is currently serving 23 individuals in North Bay and surrounding areas. We hope to raise awareness of the programs availability, resources and support. We also want to raise awareness in hopes that other people in northern communities can model our program and draw inspiration to fill the needs of their community.
PADDLE's goal is to offer a structured, meaningful, inclusive and community-based environment where dependent adults with intellectual and physical disabilities can continue to thrive and grow socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually. For more information, please visit our website.
